slimboy,
I think it's a great story with whole lot of truth in it.
jwfacts is a great website, but in view of the fact that "there are no facts, only interpretations", as nietzsche said, should the website be renamed jwinterpretations instead?

it strikes me as an effort to emphasize the fds and their role before a big announcement.. siam .

A traditional Native American story describes a boy who was feeling angry and upset at an injustice, who goes to his old Grandfather for advice. The Grandfather tells the boy that he, too has felt these feelings of hate and anger. The Grandfather shares that he has also realized how these feelings have no effect on his enemy, but they do cause him great pain.
“It is as if I have two wolves living inside me,” says the Grandfather. “One is good and does no harm. He lives in harmony with all around him and does not take offense when no offense was intended. He will only fight when it is right to do so, and in the right way.”
“But the other wolf,” Grandfather continues, “fights everyone, all the time, for no reason. The smallest thing will send him into a fury. He cannot think because his anger and rage are so great; however for all its fury, his anger changes nothing.
“Sometimes it is hard to live with these two wolves inside me, for both of them try to dominate my spirit.”
The boy looks into his Grandfather’s eyes and asks, “Which one wins, Grandfather?”
His grandfather replies, “Whichever one you feed.”

scoundrels
can someone, please, help me in finding this?.
i remember in a kingdom ministry, written quite some time, ago.. it mentioned that it was upto the individual family to determine what congregation they would attend, based on their own circumstances.
they wouldn't be subjected to determined boundaries.. does anyone remember that one, and where it exists?.

when i came out i knew of very few ex-jw's.
for years i. question my decision.
was i being selfish, couldn't cut the.
As a jw. You give up your conscience to the governing body. You fail to be guided by it.
Everyone knows the difference between right and wrong. But when you surrender your conscience to the GB you no longer are guided by it and you no longer know the difference between right and wrong??
I have a general scense of saddness when a self proclaimed athiest bangs his chest and tells me that there is no hope. Not saddness for myself but general sadness for the pain that he is projecting. It's not my problem that he says there is no hope.
That's not my problem. Unless i choose to make it my problem.
now would any "psychologist" on the board and i use the term loosely as i am not one professionally , and have a very rudimentary hazy knowledge of analysis.. but one of the things jung had to do with the subject is the shadow to be properly analyzed one needs to recognize the shadow we all have we all have one.
and what happens when we repress a lot of things and stuff them into ones personal shadow, they get stronger and cause projection on the outside world that make one respond certain ways that might be termed as phobias or neurosis and even psychosis.. im sure we can spot a lot of denial and repression surfacing in what they cause to be published either publicly and in private correspondence.
perhaps even some phobias or out right neurosis.. i bett you a really skilled psychologist could have a fruit picking holiday with the stuff they find on the net already published far and wide for all to see.
i would suggest not standing in front of the bulldozers.
everytime i go to an assembly, a picture with the atm machine comes to mind.. in one of the older publications there was a picture of jesus in the temple over-turning the tables of the money-changers.. come on photoshop people .... add a couple of atm machines falling down into the picture.. it would be great to have for a party and the time spent could be added to your monthly service time.. rub a dub.
